MOUNT GERIZIM SCHOOL
HISTORY Mount Gerizim Private Schools grew out of a vision from God. The vision first came o Rev. Mrs. Esther Ojo many years ago. It was made vividly clear to her that there was a great need to establish an institution where children are challenged academically trained spiritually and given freedom to express themselves creatively.
The God of the vision made a provision by the instrumentality of the Bishop, The Most Rev. (Dr.) J.I. Ojo. His determination, total commitment and massive financial support translated the vision into reality, and a cynosure for all eyes. On the 7 th of January 2000, the dream crystallized and Mount Gerizim Private Schools took off.
It began operation as a Nursery and Primary institution. As years rolled by and as the ideas of the original vision expanded inevitably, together with increase in popularity, it became necessary to add the Secondary level. LOCATION

The school is located along Calvary Way , 23 Badagry Express Road, behind Total Petrol Station, Isashi, Lagos , with its Secondary section at Cele Nica Okokomaiko, Lagos . OUR VISION

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The Mount Gerizim Private School, Isashi Okokomaiko, Lagos State of Nigeria , a Private school operating as a ministry of Calvary Kingdom Church, Int. Inc. is committed to the Christian mission of promoting the full development of the whole child in Christ spiritually, mentally, physically and socially.

ADMISSION POLICY AND REQUIRMENT
The school maintains an open door admission policy. Admission is open to all school age children irrespective of sex, race, colour, religion, nationality or ethnic origin. Nevertheless, a child is expected to at least attain the age of two years to be eligible for admission into the Nursery School, five years to the Primary School and 10 years to the Secondary School. Admission form should be completed with a passport photograph and a submitted in the school office. Candidates are required to enter and sit for the Primary School Leaving Certificate examination before proceeding to the Junior Secondary School .

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
At the end of a school day and at weekends, a wide variety of activities are open to students/pupils who are advised to avail themselves of these activities for their optimum development. CURRICULUM
The school provides an integrated curriculum that aims at giving the child a well rounded education. The curriculum being implemented is the National curriculum. Thus is, however integrated with Biblical principles to make children God fearing, disciplined and responsible. The core subjects in the curriculum are reading, writing and arithmetic (the 3 R's).
